Dr. Anita Herrera-Hamilton joined ANH this year and simultaneously
holds an appointment as Associate Professor at Children’s Hospital
Los Angeles (CHLA) and the USC, Keck School of Medicine. In
addition to seeing clients at ANH, Dr. Hamilton is the Director of the
Neuropsychology Concussion Clinic at CHLA. She completed an
APA-accredited pediatric neuropsychology track internship at
Children’s Hospital, Colorado and a two-year APA-accredited
postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Children's
Hospital, Los Angeles.
Dr. Herrera-Hamilton specializes in neuropsychological evaluation of
children and adolescents with conditions related to concussion,
traumatic brain injury, epilepsy and other medical conditions affecting
the central nervous system. She also supervises pre- and post-
doctoral neuropsychology trainees and medical students with regard
to brain-behavior relationships.
Her research is focused on neurocognitive and neuroimaging
outcomes related to traumatic brain injury among children and
adolescents, as well as the neurocognitive effects of exercise on
learning and brain maturation.
