Dr. Johnson earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology. He completed pre-doctoral clinical neuropsychology training at the University of California San Francisco Alzheimer’s and Memory Center in Fresno, California; Children’s Hospital Central California; and Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He also completed a one year neuropsychology focused internship at the APA-Accredited Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital. He then went on to complete a two-year Clinical Neuropsychology Fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, where he completed rotations specializing in neuropsychological evaluation and treatment of complex neurological conditions including (but not limited to): Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease dementia, Lewy body dementia, progressive supranuclear palsy, traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumor, epilepsy, and spinal cord injury. Dr. Johnson has presented research at a number of conferences for local, national, and international neuropsychology organizations.
