Dr. Monica Martinez earned her doctorate in combined clinical/school psychology from the University of Houston – Clear Lake. She completed a clinical internship in pediatric consultation and neuropsychology/neurorehabilitation at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine/Kennedy Krieger Institute. She then completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in lifespan neuropsychology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Martinez is committed to providing collaborative evaluations that integrate insights from families, educators, and medical teams to develop comprehensive care plans. Her approach emphasizes compassionate care, ensuring that each child and family feel supported and understood throughout their journey.  

Dr. Martinez has evaluated children with traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, brain tumors, blood cancers, encephalitis, and other neurological conditions impacting central nervous system functioning. She also has experience working in inpatient rehabilitation settings, supporting patients and families through the early stages of brain injury recovery. She provides Spanish/bilingual evaluations, aiming to expand access to neuropsychological services for underserved patient communities.
